Génica Schäfgen – Country Manager Germany, Ecosia

Génica works at Ecosia, a search engine donating 80% or more of its profits to nonprofit organisations focused on reforestation. As Country Manager for Germany, she focuses on overseeing and building a strong nationwide network of social businesses. Previously working in influencer marketing, Génica wanted to use her skills to make an impact in a cause which she could identify with, which brought her to Ecosia.

Lara Schermer –  Senior PR Consultant – Specialist Greentech & Sustainability, PIABO

Lara Schermer is a senior PR advisor at PIABO, Germany’s leading PR agency for the digital economy. She has long-standing experience in sustainability and environment communication and recently founded PIABO’s Greentech Practice together with Andreas Krönke, Unit Director Technology.

PIABO’s Greentech Practice provides companies that have green business models with a one-stop shop of innovative communication concepts. The spectrum of topics covered ranges from smart city and new mobility to industry 4.0 applications, and the avoidance of food waste through digital innovations, as well as their investors. 

Jonathan Nash – Marketing & Community Manager, Grover

Lubomila Jordanova – Founder and CEO, Plan A

Jonathan Nash is Marketing & Community Manager at Grover, where he coordinates affiliate & influencer marketing as well as community initiatives & sponsorships, supporting digital artists & startups with the tech they need to transform their visions into reality. 

Jonathan is Grover’s first contracted employee and is thus a first-hand witness to the development of the company from the launch date, from packing the first orders, to supporting Grover in various departments as the company revamped the brand & grew into its present-day size and influence.

Lubomila Jordanova is the founder and CEO of Plan A, a Berlin-based startup developing an algorithm which predicts where and how climate change will hit the hardest and a software that helps businesses monitor their sustainability and reduce their carbon footprint. 

Prior to Plan A, she worked in investment banking, venture capital and fintech in Asia and Europe. She was recently announced as 30 under 30 Social Entrepreneur of 2020 by Forbes and Entrepreneur to watch in Germany. 

Isla is Head of Business Development at DCMN, a growth partner for digital brands. Having worked closely with all business verticals within DCMN, she has recently taken a shift in focus into helping sustainable brands grow.
She has a keen interest, both personally and professionally, in supporting more planet-friendly brands and as such, Isla will be moderating the panel discussion for SCALEup.
